From H-Afro-Am Discussion Logs Does anyone know of documentation confirming that Zora Neale Hurston lived at 3017 Sherman Ave NW when she was a student at Howard U. between 1919 and 1924? Have others come across any references to her living at this address? There is a manicurist named Frances Gassaway (or Gazaway) who boarded at that address during those years. Zora worked as a manicurist and apparently roomed at that address-has anyone come across a reference to her using the name Frances Gassaway/Gazaway?
